Gillian and David chose the cherry blossom to symbolize their wedding and their love. In Japanese culture, the cherry blossom is revered for representing the intense beauty of life as well as the fleeting nature of life.<\/p>\n\"2015-04-21_009\"<\/a>\n

The couple initially met while they worked for the same company. For a time they talked over the phone about company business without actually meeting. When they finally met in person at the company Christmas party, their true connection began.<\/p>\n

Guests were welcomed to the couple\u2019s wedding with a large wooden and silver monogram to sign as well as a photography book with engagement photographs.<\/p>\n\"2015-04-21_005\"<\/a>\n

For her wedding day on March 20, 2015 Gillian chose a gown from David\u2019s Bridal. The dress was a surprise to all, as the bride would not let anyone see her until she walked down the aisle. The gown was strapless lace with an A-line skirt. Subtle sequins glittered in the light. Gillian wore her hair down with a tiara and veil. Her shoes were pink satin with crystal embellishments. The bridal bouquet brought together roses with hot pink edges and baby\u2019s breath. Gillian\u2019s bridesmaids wore pink strapless knee-length gowns with rouching across the top and white rose bouquets. The groomsmen wore light grey tuxedos with pink ties while David chose a dark grey three-piece tuxedo with white shirt and tie.<\/p>\n\"2015-04-21_008\"<\/a>\n

At the end of each aisle of chairs where guests were seated were glass ornaments filled with cherry blossoms. As part of their wedding, a wine ceremony was performed with custom wine glasses.<\/p>\n

During speeches, Gillian\u2019s father said It\u2019s not often that you get to write a symphony, alluding to Gillian\u2019s life of harmony and happiness. The bride\u2019s maid of honor spoke of meeting the bride in 1997 in the marching band. She told friends and family that David brings out the best in Gillian.<\/p>\n\"2015-04-21_017\"<\/a>\n

The couple\u2019s first dance was to Blue Eyes by the Cary Brothers followed by the father & daughter dance to Wedding Song by Paul Simon and the mother & son dance to Somewhere Over the Rainbow by Israel Kamakawiwo’Ole.<\/p>\n

The wedding cake was three tiers decorated with a fondant cherry blossom tree.
\nAs sweet as the musical choices were the candy table with pink, white and silver candy was equally sweet.<\/p>\n\"2015-04-21_012\"<\/a>\n

Favors were mason jars filled with homemade jam covered with a cherry blossom printed fabric. An attached note read Spread the Love. The night ended with a signature Villa Siena sparkler farewell. Congratulations Gillian and David. May every moment of your lives together be celebrated as the cherry blossom tree is; for the intense beauty you bring to one another\u2019s lives.<\/p>\n
