April 3, 2015 Mark and Stephanie were married. The couple celebrated with a Great Gatsby theme and a color scheme of pink, black and gold. The couple\u2019s introduction was thanks to the woman Stephanie worked for. Brenda had a little \u201cnudge\u201d to \u201chook up\u201d Stephanie, who was her nanny, and Mark, who was her trainer. The introduction sparked more than a little interest.<\/p>\n\"View<\/a>\n

With the Great Gatsby theme, there were quotes from F. Scott Fitzgerald throughout the Villa, including \u201cI love her and that is the beginning and end of everything.\u201d As guests arrived they were greeted by a graphic rendering of the couple. For fun, a tree stemming out of a floral arrangement of orchids, poppies and other flowers, awaited cards to be filled with a bucket list for the bride and groom. Guests were asked to leave a note, an idea, a plan, but most importantly an adventure and hang it on the tree. The couple then promised to complete those adventures in their lifetime.<\/p>\n\"View<\/a>\n

For the celebration, Stephanie\u2019s bridesmaids rented black floor-length 1920\u2019s inspired gowns from Rent-a-gown. Stephanie stood out in a strapless gown fitted to the waist with a sweetheart neckline. A full tulle skirt finished the look as did a diamond fascinator in the bride\u2019s hair. Underneath the dress hid a pair of gold shoes. The bride\u2019s bouquet of pink and white flowers was tied with a hanging pink ribbon. Mark wore a beige tuxedo with black accents, a pink shirt and black tie while his groomsmen wore black suits with black vests, white shirts and pink ties.<\/p>\n\"View<\/a>\n

During the ceremony a friend of the bride and groom played keyboard and sang. Another friend offered up a special prayer before the ceremony honoring Good Friday. Bags of popcorn were available to guests to snack on before the ceremony.<\/p>\n\"View<\/a>\n

As guests adjourned to the reception, they were reminded at the bar that \u201cProhibition ends here,\u201d with the groom recommending a Manhattan and the bride recommending the Champagne Royale for specialty drinks. Dramatic pink up-lighting lit the room along with the couple\u2019s initials and a 1920\u2019s design in gold lighting. On tables, 1920\u2019s slang was explained including words like applesauce, berries and bearcat. The tablecloths were black and white striped with pink napkins and pink flowers. For the newlywed\u2019s table, a black tablecloth overlaid with sparkly pink felt festive. The couple\u2019s last name in gold block letters sat atop the table.<\/p>\n\"View<\/a>\n

During speeches, the groom\u2019s friend Adam noted that although there were 7 billion people in this world, Mark found his \u201cone,\u201d his \u201clobster.\u201d<\/p>\n

The three-tiered wedding cake was finished with rouched buttercream frosting, 24k gold foil and black and white stripes with a topper saying You\u2019re my lobster<\/em>. Cupcakes frosted to look like delicate flowers were served along with the cake. Congratulations Stephanie and Mark. May your love begin again each and every day. We wish you the best.<\/p>\n
