June 9, 2013 was a beautiful day at Villa Siena for the marriage of Whitney and Joel. The couple met playing ultimate Frisbee at a Christian college in Tennessee. Their wedding saw family and friends come together to celebrate love. Joel\u2019s father served as their officiant.<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

Her bridesmaids gathered round for a prayer before the ceremony began. Whitney wore a strapless lace gown with hair in a half up-do and curls hanging down. Blue satin shoes offered the \u2018something blue\u2019 to her ensemble, as did the bridesmaids who wore navy blue dresses.<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

Joel chose a black tuxedo with black, grey and silver striped tie and white shirt. The last page of the program listed fun facts about the couple, such as that both the bride and groom\u2019s fathers shared the same last name.<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

 <\/p>\n

During the ceremony there was a guitar performance of When I Say I Do<\/em>. Then Whitney and Joel participated in a sand ceremony where the colors of their lives mingled together creating a new tapestry. During the recessional, guests waived little banners saying \u2018Hooray\u2019 as they exited the ceremony.<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

The couple brought a lot of unique and personal details to their wedding. For example they had a What I Like About You <\/em>board where husband and wife listed what they loved about each other. At the reception table, pictures of the couple told a part of their story together. On each table were two candy dishes. One held the bride\u2019s favorite candy and the other held the groom\u2019s. Favors were candles and personalized thank you notes for each guest.<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

For place settings, there were fresh green apples with names on paper leaves attached to the apples. There were a few sweet moments, not the least of which was the four-tiered cake with fresh flowers on top.<\/p>\n

Instead of a bouquet toss, there was an anniversary dance where the couple who had been together the longest received the bride\u2019s bouquet. Despite the fun, all eyes were on the wedding couple when they had their first dance as husband and wife to Better Together <\/em>by Jack Johnson.<\/p>\n\"\"\n
