Katie and Ken joined their two lives together for a new beginning April 21, 2013 at Villa Siena.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.villasiena.cc\/wedding-talk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/Picture2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5618\" style=\"width: 632px; height: 313px;\" alt=\"Picture2\" src=\"https:\/\/www.villasiena.cc\/wedding-talk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/Picture2.jpg\" width=\"631\" height=\"356\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">The friend who introduced the couple was rewarded with the coveted role of maid of honor. She stood by the bride as Katie prepared for her big day.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.villasiena.cc\/wedding-talk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/Picture3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5619\" style=\"width: 362px; height: 548px;\" alt=\"Picture3\" src=\"https:\/\/www.villasiena.cc\/wedding-talk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/Picture3.jpg\" width=\"457\" height=\"672\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">The bride wore a fitted dress with beaded belt and a ruffled skirt. Her hair was worn up with a veil falling softly around her. A diamond pendant necklace was all that was needed to add a bit of twinkle. Katie\u2019s bouquet was a unique choice of purple orchids surrounded by violets. The bridesmaids and maid of honor wore deep violet above-the-knee strapless dresses with silver heels.<\/p>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.villasiena.cc\/wedding-talk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/Picture4.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5620\" style=\"width: 576px; height: 346px;\" alt=\"Picture4\" src=\"https:\/\/www.villasiena.cc\/wedding-talk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/Picture4.jpg\" width=\"900\" height=\"600\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.villasiena.cc\/wedding-talk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/Picture4.jpg 900w, https:\/\/www.villasiena.cc\/wedding-talk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/Picture4-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px\" \/><\/a>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Ken chose a classic tuxedo with silver vest and tie and a violet flower in his lapel for his wedding day. The groomsmen wore purple ties and vests to match the bridesmaids. During the ceremony guests were encouraged to sit where they liked, instead of choosing a side, so the two families could get to know each other.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.villasiena.cc\/wedding-talk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/Picture5.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5621\" style=\"width: 549px; height: 389px;\" alt=\"Picture5\" src=\"https:\/\/www.villasiena.cc\/wedding-talk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/Picture5.jpg\" width=\"631\" height=\"433\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">A string quartet added ambiance to the day. The officiant was the groom\u2019s father and performed a cords ceremony to join the couple. After the ceremony, the couple lit up the dance floor to White Snake\u2019s <i>Is It Love?<\/i><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.villasiena.cc\/wedding-talk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/Picture6.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5622\" style=\"width: 367px; height: 485px;\" alt=\"Picture6\" src=\"https:\/\/www.villasiena.cc\/wedding-talk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/Picture6.jpg\" width=\"436\" height=\"612\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Cake offered a sweet note to the festivities. The cake was layered in white fondant with polk-a-dots and fresh purple flowers on top.
