At Marissa\u2019s 15th birthday party, she didn\u2019t realize she\u2019d\nreceived the best present of all: the first encounter with her future husband!\nBut years later, she and John tied the knot in a magical winter-themed wedding\non December 19, 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Marissa dazzled in an A-line gown with long illusion\nsleeves, a V neckline, and a leaf motif overlay. She accessorized with a\ncrystal necklace and a hip-length veil. Her bouquet included white flowers,\npine cones, pine boughs, and other greenery. Her three bridesmaids wore forest\ngreen, one-shoulder, full-length velvet dresses. They carried smaller versions\nof the bride\u2019s bouquet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

John got married in a black tuxedo with a white vest, white\nshirt, white bow tie, white pocket square, and mini bouquet boutonniere. His\nthree groomsmen wore black tuxedos with black vests, white shirts, black bow\nties, black pocket squares, and mini bouquet boutonnieres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

John broke a glass at the end of the ceremony in keeping\nwith Jewish tradition. A live painter captured the outdoor ceremony, and guests\nwere given blankets to keep warm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Next, attendees sat down to a meal that included caprese salad, filet mignon, Atlantic salmon, herb-roasted red potatoes, and fresh green beans. There was also a hot cocoa table, and guests were given mini bundt cakes as they left the reception.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the toasts, the best man spoke about his long friendship\nwith the newlyweds. The maid of honor, Marissa\u2019s sister, recounted how John\nused to tutor her in high school. John\u2019s father talked about the newlyweds\u2019\nlove story and how Marissa has already been a member of their family for a long\ntime. Marissa\u2019s father thanked John\u2019s parents for raising him well, and spoke\nabout how he\u2019s not losing a daughter, but gaining a son.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

John and Marissa\u2019s first dance as man and wife was to \u201cBless\nthe Broken Road\u201d by Rascal Flatts. Marissa and her father danced to \u201cButterfly\nKisses\u201d by Bob Carlisle. John and his mother danced to \u201cWhat a Wonderful World\u201d\nby Louis Armstrong. The anniversary dance was \u201cMoon River\u201d by Andy Williams.\nOther wedding fun included the tradition hora dance, the shoe game, and a date\nnight idea jar that guests were encouraged to contribute to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The three-tier wedding cake was done in a white naked\nfrosting design. Red ribbons were placed along the bottom of each tier, and the\ncake was decorated with roses, pinecones, and greenery. Atop the cake were\nbride and groom penguin figurines and an ornament with the couple\u2019s last name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The newlyweds left their wedding under the signature\nsparkler exit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
