Anthony and Marissa\u2019s\nstory began long ago \u2014 the couple knew of each other in junior high, became\nfriends in high school, and started dating in college. They began the latest\nchapter of their romance on December 14, 2019, when they became man and wife.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Marissa looked radiant in\nan off-the-shoulder trumpet gown with a sweetheart neckline and a beaded\nbodice. Her accessories included drop earrings and a multi-strand bracelet. Her\ncascade-style bouquet was composed of red and white roses accented with a\nvariety of botanicals. Her bridesmaids wore matching sleeveless full-length red\ndresses with V necklines, and carried small bouquets of white flowers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anthony got married in a\nclassic black three-piece suit with a black vest, white shirt, black tie, and\nwhite rose boutonniere. His groomsmen wore gray suits with gray vests, white\nshirts, red ties, red pocket squares, and red rose boutonnieres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After an off-site\nceremony, everyone arrived at Villa Siena ready to party! Guests signed wooden\nhearts for a keepsake for the newlyweds. After sitting down in a room decorated\nin silver and red, guests enjoyed a meal that included a classic Caesar salad,\npotatoes au gratin, fresh green beans, and grilled Tuscan chicken with shiitake\nand portobello mushrooms in a creamy balsamic sauce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The bride and groom heard\nmany heartfelt tributes during the speeches. The maid of honor, the bride\u2019s\ncousin, spoke about the importance of family and thanked the newlyweds for\nshowing everyone what love and family look like. The best man, the groom\u2019s\nfriend since elementary school, talked about his gratitude for Anthony\u2019s\nsupport and friendship, complimented the newlyweds, and told them how much he\nloved them. Anthony\u2019s brother reminisced about their childhood and expressed\nhis wishes that their late mother was there. He advised the couple to be\nhonest, open, and spontaneous with each other. Marissa\u2019s oldest brother\nexpressed his joy about the wedding and his love for his sister, and thanked\nAnthony for taking care of her. The bride\u2019s other older brother talked about\ntheir childhood and thanked Anthony for making his sister happy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Marissa and Anthony\u2019s\nfirst dance was to \u201cLa Vie en Rose\u201d by Louis Armstrong. Marissa and her father\ndanced to \u201cDance With My Father\u201d by Luther Vandross, and Anthony and his\ngrandmother danced to \u201cWhat a Wonderful World\u201d by Louis Armstrong. Other\nwedding fun included an anniversary dance to \u201cFaithfully\u201d by Journey, a photo\nbooth, and a mariachi band.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The four-tier wedding cake\nwas done in a white-on-white curlicue design with pearl trim around the base of\neach layer. The cake was decorated with roses and the crystal topper the\nbride\u2019s mother used at her wedding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
