Lauren and Mike, who met in nursing school, were married on October 27, 2018.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lauren dazzled in a strapless fit-and-flare\nlace gown with a sweetheart neckline, peach-colored ribbon belt, and a train.\nHer accessories included a lace-edged veil, drop earrings, and a drop pendant\nnecklace. Her bouquet was composed of a variety of blooms in shades of white,\npink, fuchsia, and red with eucalyptus leaves. Her maid of honor wore a\nfull-length dress with a sparkly gold top and a flowing dark red skirt. Four\nbridesmaids wore full-length sparkly dark red gowns in a variety of\nsilhouettes, while the junior bridesmaid wore a dark red one-shoulder gown. The\nbridal party carried smaller versions of the bride\u2019s bouquet, tied with gold\nribbons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mike got married in a blue tuxedo with black\nlapels, white shirt, black vest, dark red bow tie, black pocket square, and red\nrose boutonniere. His two groomswomen wore individual full-length dark blue\ndresses. His four groomsmen wore blue tuxedos with black lapels, white shirts,\nblack vests, black ties, black pocket squares, and white rose boutonnieres. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The couple read personal vows to each other\nduring the outdoor ceremony, which also included their mothers reading a poem,\nthe officiant sharing the story of how the bride and groom met, and all the\nguests releasing butterflies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The reception had a vintage travel theme:\nGuests signed a globe instead of a guest book and could fill out a card\noffering advice on where the couple should honeymoon. There were also\ntravel-themed seating charts, placecards, table numbers, and menus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Guests dined on plated caprese salads and a\nbuffet that included grilled Tuscan chicken, herb-crusted pork loin, mixed\ngrilled vegetables, and twice-baked potatoes. There were two signature\ncocktails available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the speeches, Lauren\u2019s father reminded\nthe couple that marriage \u201cis not 50-50; it\u2019s 100-100.\u201d Mike\u2019s father said that\nit was not just Mike who was lucky to meet Lauren \u2014 their whole family was. The\nbest woman talked about being Mike\u2019s best friend, and the maid of honor spoke\nabout how well the groom complements the bride.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lauren and Mike shared their first dance as a\nmarried couple to \u201cEnds of the Earth\u201d by Lord Huron. Lauren and her father\ndanced to \u201cYou Better Believe\u201d by Train, and Mike and his mother danced to \u201c93\nMillion Miles\u201d by Jason Mraz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wedding fun included a photobooth and games\nsuch as I Spy and an icebreaker game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The three-tier wedding cake had a map\ndecoration on the bottom, a white rosette design in the middle, and a globe on\ntop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
