Makenzie and Jordan were once assigned to be chemistry partners, which led to their wedding day on Saturday, October 22, 2016.<\/p>\n

Makenzie modeled an elegant wedding gown with a sweetheart neckline, a trumpet hem and a train, and a sheer, fingertip veil. She held a large, hand-tied bouquet of white roses and hydrangeas with lots of greenery. Her six bridesmaids held smaller bouquets of the same. Each bridesmaid wore a deep blue, floor-length sheath gown in varying necklines.<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

Jordan sported a deep blue, two-piece suit with a dove gray necktie with brown leather shoes. A white rose was pinned to his lapel. His groomsmen modeled dove gray, two-piece suits with dark blue neckties. Each man also wore brown leather shoes and a white rose on his lapel.<\/p>\n

The wedding ceremony was held outdoors in front of the fireplace adorned in greenery, and at the end of a stark white carpet. The bride was given away, which was followed by a prayer. The bride and groom wrote their own vows, and then performed a unity ceremony.<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

Dinner included beef tenderloin and grilled chicken with a chipotle glaze joined by creamy Yukon mashed potatoes and grilled vegetables. The four-tiered wedding cake was covered in a white, buttercream frosting. Each layer was covered in white roses and greenery.<\/p>\n

During toasts, the Best Man (also the brother of the groom) said he remembered thinking the moment Makenzie and Jordan started \u201cstudying\u201d that it would turn into something more. The other Best Man (Jordan\u2019s oldest brother) told stories from their childhood. The Maid of Honor talked about how the groom has not only been a great friend to her sister, but to herself as well. The other Maid of Honor talked about how much the bride had always taken care of her growing up, and thinks Jordan will do a good job of taking care of Makenzie.<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

Makenzie and Jordan\u2019s First Dance was to Lee Brice\u2019s \u201cI Don’t Dance,\u201d followed by the couple\u2019s own version of \u201cCalifornia Love.\u201d The Father\/Daughter Dance was to Grateful Dead\u2019s \u201cI Will Take You Home,\u201d and the Mother\/Son Dance was to \u201cI Lived\u201d by One Republic.<\/p>\n

Makenzie and Jordan left under a glow stick send off, and we wish them all the happiness in the world together.<\/p>\n
