\"Floral-Orchid-Wedding-Villa-Siena<\/a>David and John had their first date \u2013\u00a0coffee and dinner \u2013 two years ago, and were then married on Saturday, March 5, 2016.<\/p>\n

John sported a black, three-piece suit with a white shirt and black bowtie \u2013his lapel accented by a white blossom. David donned a three-piece gray suit with a black vest, bowtie, and lapels \u2013 accompanied by a white shirt and pocket square.<\/p>\n

David and John\u2019s ceremony was held in front of the outdoor fireplace, which was filled with tall candles and adorned with overflowing displays of white orchids and hydrangeas. Lined on either side with white flower petals, the grey carpet leading to the alter ended with a spread of white petals \u2013 with the initials \u201cJ\u201d and \u201cD\u201d spelled out in red rose petals.<\/p>\n\"Floral-Orchid-Wedding-Villa-Siena<\/a>\n

The officiant announced, \u201cThis commitment will make your relationship much stronger. The foundation of your love is friendship. These are the hands that will hold you for comfort, even when you\u2019re wrinkled and aged. Rings symbolize the vows and love that they have for one another.\u201d Both grooms went on to read their own vows, and shed a few \u201chappy tears\u201d in the process.<\/p>\n

At the reception, dinner open with mixed greens and goat cheese crumbles, spiced pecans, pomegranate seeds, sliced oranges, and balsamic vinegar. The main course included filet mignon and saut\u00e9ed chicken breast in marsala wine reduction, plus twice baked potatoes and sweet ginger glazed carrots. Dessert included cookies, and an elegant four-tiered wedding cake with white and navy altering tiers. White detailing accented the navy tiers, and white black dots adorned the crisscross pattern of the white tiers.<\/p>\n\"Floral-Orchid-Wedding-Villa-Siena<\/a>\n

During toasts, David\u2019s dad expressed how marriage was difficult and full of tribulations, but he knows that John and David will have a persistent love. One of John\u2019s close friends lamented how she and John have been through a lot together, and she couldn\u2019t ask for a better man for her best friend.<\/p>\n

David and John\u2019s first dance was to \u201cA Thousand Years\u201d by Christina Perri, and the Mother\/Son Dance was to \u201cAll To You\u201d by Scott Keo. The new couple had one last treat for their flower-adorned reception: a surprise performance by a hula dancer.<\/p>\n
