Shannon working for Frank’s Aunt may have been the most serendipitous job she ever accepted. That job led to her meeting her future husband, Frank. The couple joined together April 6, 2014 at Villa Siena to exchange wedding vows and sweet kisses.

For the ceremony, Shannon wore her mother’s dress, an elegant style that combined lace to an empire waist with a cream silk A-line skirt finished with lace accents. Buttons graced the back of the dress and finished in a train. Shannon wore a veil while her hair was in an up-do. Her shoes were satin with a diamond buckle. A lace garter with crystals and a pearl would be revealed much later in the evening. The bridal bouquet combined calla lilies and roses. The bridesmaids were decked out in sequined above-the-knee fitted dresses with black belts. Each of the two flower girls wore white dresses with tulle skirts.

Frank looked dashing for his big day in his military uniform. Two of his three best men also wore military uniforms with bowties.

Accents included candles embellished with gold glitter, a red runner for the aisle, red and white flowers on the altar and candles wrapped in gold. Two enormous arrangements of red and white flowers bookended the altar.

As they exchanged their vows, Shannon and Frank performed a sand ceremony where they poured red and white sand into a shadow box.

Both the maid of honor and the best man gave toasts, before Shannon and Frank shared their first dance to All of You by John legend. The father/daughter dance was My Girl by the Temptations followed by Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong for the mother/son dance.

Guests were invited to take home bags of candy from the candy bar for favors if the wedding cake hadn’t already fulfilled their sweet tooth. The cake was three tiers with a floral design on two layers alternating with a plain middle layer, which was wrapped in a gold fondant bow. On top of the cake elaborate fondant flowers were sculpted.
