Michelle & Mark ~ April 12, 2014

April 12, 2014 marked the marriage of Michelle and Mark at Villa Siena. The happy couple initially met at a bar on Mill Avenue. For their wedding day, the couple welcomed guests with a picture of them and framed sayings about love.  To set the tone for the day, the couple chose a classic soft color theme with blush and ivory.

Michelle wore a gown fitted to the hips with rouching across the waist and beaded detailing on the bodice. A stunning pearl and diamond necklace gave a dramatic feel to the ensemble. The bridal bouquet was blush with white roses and a single pearl and diamond brooch. A few hot pink roses were interspersed throughout the bouquet. Silver shoes with diamonds on top finished the look.

For his part, Mark was the handsome groom who chose a light grey tuxedo with grey vest and pink tie for his wedding day. The bridal party counted nine on the groom’s side and eight on the bride’s side. The bridesmaids wore blush colored bustiers with white lace skirts.

To announce the start of the wedding, a ring bearer carried a sign saying Here Comes the Bride while at his side the flower girl in a full tutu tossed rose petals along the white runner.

During the reception the bride’s sister sang A Thousand Years by Christina Perry. Toasts were plenty and included the best man thanking those who had traveled in from out of town, stories about being travel buddies, roommates, co-workers and so much more.

The reception hall was lit up with the couple’s name and date of marriage on the wall. For the couple’s first dance as man and wife they took to the dance floor to Everything by Michael Buble. Following that Michelle and her father danced to Walk With You. The couple dances ended with Mark and his mother dancing to Because You Love Me.

Favors were custom made M&Ms, unique coasters, bubbles and wood fans. The wedding cake rose four tiers high with piped pearls draped over the top layer and piped flowers. Two layers were decorated with ruffled frosting while the third layer also had pearls draped about it.

Congratulations Michelle and Mark. May your days together be filled with the sweet sounds of laughter and love. We wish you the best.
