Lindsey and Alex met in school at the tender age of thirteen. The two grew up together and grew closer together with each passing year. Alex chose the intermission of an opera to propose. On May 22, the couple was married in a small church ceremony in New York City.  The couple returned to Phoenix on May 31, 2014, for a vow renewal and reception at Villa Siena.

For this ceremony, Lindsey chose an elegant Jenny Packham 1920’s style gown. Sequin work favored the bust, coming to a V before flowing out through the skirt. The skirt of the gown flowed softly with a belt adding definition. Sheer caplet sleeves led into a sheer covering for the back with a keyhole opening. The bride wore her hair up with a floor length veil. Underneath her dress, Lindsey wore lovely Valentino pumps.  Cream peonies combined with white ranunculus made up the bridal bouquet. Her bridesmaids wore different styles of dresses all designed by Sue Wong, both with a vintage feel.

Alex wore a grey suit with champagne bowtie and a white ranunculus in his lapel, as did his groomsmen.

The outdoor ceremony was filled with the sweet scent of roses as a custom design in rose petals decorated the runner for the bride. Each row of chairs was finished with a gold mercury glass vase with peach and pink roses in them. The fountain was overflowing with petals and flowers lined the altar. The processional was filled with seven flower girls all in ivory dresses and two ring bearers. During the ceremony the couple surprised their grand-mothers with roses.

Throughout the cocktail hour, a slideshow of the couple’s history played.

Lindsey was such a vivacious bride the energy was contagious. After the ceremony a live band played for their reception, including the couple’s first dance to Anything for You by LUDO. Speeches included many touching sentiments for the bride and groom and wishes for years of happiness.

After dinner a gelato cart was available for guests. Those with a sweet tooth were welcome to try a piece of the six-tiered wedding cake. The top three layers of which were encrusted in gold, with gold beads flowing down through the bottom three layers. Fondant flowers cascaded down the top two layers with another bunch decorating the fourth and fifth layers.

Favors were sugar cookies shaped like hearts in gold boxes with ribbons. At the end of the night a signature sparkler farewell sent the couple off to their new life together.

Congratulations Lindsey and Alex. May you lay the world at each other’s feet. We wish you the best.
