Lauren & Nicholas ~ October 26, 2014

Lauren and Nicholas were married at Villa Siena under a bright, blue sky. The couple first met when they attended Arizona State University. As the wedding began, the bride and groom met under a chuppah of pink and white baby’s breath that looked exactly like the one the bride’s parents was married under. Jewish traditions were respected during the ceremony with the signing of the ketubah, the circling ritual, the ring ceremony, the seven blessings and the breaking of the glass ceremony.

Lauren was a beautiful bride in a strapless Hayley Paige wedding gown with beaded belt and flowing layers of skirt. Underneath the dress pink ballet kitten heels sparkled with silver and crystal detail. The bridal bouquet was a cluster of long-stemmed calla lilies while the bridesmaids carried bouquets of pale pink roses. As they attended to their best friend, the bridesmaids wore silver gowns with empire waists. Nicholas wore a black tuxedo with black vest, white shirt and pink paisley tie while his groomsmen were clothed in black tuxedos with silver vests and pink ties.

As guests entered the Villa, a sign pointed them to the Piazza Toscana: “This way to love, laughter and happily ever after.” As they entered the Piazza, they were encouraged to “Choose a seat, not a side – we are all family once the knot is tied.” A harpist played during the processional.

During the reception a live band played. Those wanting a drink were encouraged with a humorous chalkboard sign that read, “Alcohol – because no great love story ever started with a salad.” Guests were treated to a choice of one of three entrees for dinner: chicken, beef or salmon.’

The couple’s first dance was to Bruno Mars’ Marry You which transitioned into John Legend’s All of Me. Then Lauren and her father danced to I Loved Her First by Heartland before Nicholas and his mother took to the dance floor for A Song For Mama by Boys to Men. Afterwards the reception went into full swing with a live band.

The cake was four tiers of ruffled fondant with ornate flowers placed strategically throughout. The first tier was carrot, the second vanilla, the third devil’s food cake and the fourth vanilla with coconut, so there was something for every taste bud.

A few highlights of the night included the Matron of Honor rapping to Fancy!, the S’mores favors and the signature Villa Siena sparkler farewell. Congratulations Lauren and Nicholas. May your lives be filled unforgettable moments. We wish you the best.
