May 8, 2015 Ariane and Nilay were married at Villa Siena. The bride broke from the traditional strapless gown with a timeless gown from David’s Bridal. The dress was white lace with an empire waist, three-quarter length sleeves and a cathedral length veil. Under the gown, the bride wore crystal open-toed shoes. The bridal bouquet was wrapped in lace and filled with pink and ivory roses. The bridesmaids wore knee-length pearl pink Alfred Sung dresses of different styles.

During the ceremony the officiant told a story about the couple being lost on a road trip. Ellie Goulding’s How Long Will I Love You? played during the ceremony. There was also a candle-lighting ceremony as the couple exchanged vows. The groom’s parents wore traditional Indian wedding attire while the groom chose a black tuxedo with black vest, black tie and white shirt. His groomsmen also wore black tuxedos with white shirts and ties.

After the ceremony, the fun began with the couple’s first dance to You and I by John Legend. The groom took a moment to talk about what a real wedding is.

The cake was ruffled pink with a rose design on top. Inside vanilla and chocolate sat side by side. A prayer was said for the couple before toasts began. The maid of honor talked about how she met the bride and how she knew Nilay was the one. Nilay’s older sister gave a very sentimental toast as well.

During the reception guests were asked to fill out “wishes for the new Mr. & Mrs.” on wooden tokens. A Polaroid camera let guests take a few old fashioned pictures. A coffee bar offered late night refreshments for guests.

As the night ended, the couple headed off to their honeymoon in Mexico. Congratulations Ariane and Nilay. May the sun’s light be nothing compared to the light of your love for one another. We wish you the best.
