Amanda & Steve ~ April 5, 2014

April flowers welcomed Amanda and Steve to Villa Siena as they joined together April 5, 2014 as husband and wife. Amanda looked picture perfect in a fitted strapless gown that offered a mermaid flair at the bottom. Lace detailing and a beaded belt added texture to her ensemble. For a veil, Amanda chose a traditional style veil with lace edging that flowed into a train. The bride’s hair was worn in an elegant up-do. Since every bride should sparkle, Amanda was adorned with a stunning diamond necklace and bracelet. For a bouquet, white and pale pink roses came together. The bridesmaid’s dresses picked up the pale pink of the bouquet with flowing above-the-knee dresses.

Steve was the debonair groom in a black tuxedo with white shirt and black tie. His groomsmen were also in black tuxedos with ties. Amanda teared up slightly as the couple exchanged vows and tied a sailor knot together. In a sailor’s knot, the two cords tied symbolize the past of the individuals coming together. As they tie the knot, they are in the present, the moment where two lives join into one. The completed knot symbolizes the strength of the couple’s relationship, as the sailor’s knot, although one of the easiest to tie, remains one of the strongest.

During the reception, both sisters of the bride wrote her a poem, as it is a family tradition to write poems for special occasions. The best man and father of the bride also gave toasts.

The celebration continued when the bride and groom took to the dance floor for their first dance Can’t Help Falling In Love With You.

The wedding cake was designed with a classic, simple look. The three-tiered cake was finished with polka dots, decorative frosting and a cream satin ribbon around each tier.

Bottles of wine were given as favors.

Congratulations Amanda and Steve. May you celebrate each other’s individuality and the strength you bring to one another throughout your days to come. We wish you the best.
